Our Aim

"To raise awareness of future global issues, stimulate leadership among members, instigate progressive means to tackle such issues and become an influential channel for the voice of Loughborough students."

PFS hopes to bring together the departments of Economics, Business and Politics by encouraging student involvement in the expression of ideas and opinions in many aspects of the listed subjects. We do this by promoting enlightenment through discussions, symposiums, round-tables, workshops, formal dinners and possibly trips off-campus.

Preamble

"We all have a responsibility as citizens of this World to contribute progressive efforts for the benefit of mankind. Universities are widely expected to produce tomorrow's leaders, who will be in good positions to ensure our positive combined forward movement. The Progressive Forum Society of Loughborough University's Student's Union intends to raise awareness of the most likely challenges that mankind will face in the future and promote enlightenment through exchanges of ideas. Also of vital importance, we hope to encourage members to pursue positions of influence and deliver outlooks in meeting these future challenges."
